Robots vs RFID in Libraries

The Futurismic blog comments on this BBC reoprt:
BBC have an interesting article about a robot designed to fetch books for library patrons. It uses voice recognition to figure out what you want, maps to navigate, and cameras and OCR software to read the titles of books on the shelves. As to that latter bit, wouldn't it be a lot easier to embed RFID tags in the books?So true.
